To be relieved of feeding in-laws is already a great blessing. i am sure they will give your wife some money at times when she ask for it, but they will leave majority of their money to their younger son. First priority will be themselves, then if got something left, majority for son then for daughter. Son-in-law is always out of the picture

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

Bro Sha Gua, i really hope that your future in laws will be as good as what u deemed them to be , 2 years down the road. Yes, my thinking is different from yrs as i have stayed there for some years while u make short trips there. I need not elaborate lor, what u see during short trips and what i see and experience during my perm stay there is different. Like u say, nothing is 100%, so what made u think what i said is untrue? Get married first, stay with her and make more contact with yr in-laws. In 2 years time, i hope that u can still feel the same towards them. Yes, there are good and bad people in all countries, but there are also certain characteristics of people from a country that's difficult to change; just like being kiasu in singapore; vietnam have their own characteristics . They are also damm good at 过河拆桥, this comes from personal experiences.

Actually, how u see them and how they treat u is none of my problem also. I treat u like good friend so i am quite concerned. But like before, you are so much in love and nothing can get into your mind and thoughts. As a friend, i still wish u the best and its nice to see u settle down. Ok, get over and done with, we shall not discuss about yr in laws from now on. Nevertheless, good luck

Re: Understanding Vietnamese Life Partner

I personally come across there is a majority of the sporean men hv a relatively huge age gap between their viet wives. i wanted to qoute some eg. my friend is 36 and his wife is only 23. is the gap too wide?

there is a news that involved a man killing his indonesia wife, due to his wife hv affairs outside. the man is 38 and the wife is 24.

i personally feel that becos of this huge gap in ages, their thinking is different. once these foreigner gals married to spore, they will see more younger (which is around their ages) handsome guys on the street. they may hv affairs outside.

i should say the vietnamese r more royal, but if u r old and poor i thk the temptation of ur viet wife having affairs outside r much higher!

I hv read thru new paper somewhere last yr that few married sporean women hv many affairs outside, becos they claimed that they wan to try different men, one even hv sex with other man b4 her customary marriage, and proudly announce that she wants it as her customary marriage present. these few ladies r been interviewed by reporter.

most of the vietnamese you have seen do that...but from what i know is her mum and even to the extend to her aunt...spend alot of money on my gf....especially her mum save on herself and spend on my gf....if compare with her brother...her brother still have a long way to go before catching up with his sister...

As for son-in-law...nothing to say about this yet as I am not yet their son-in-law...even when i become their...they dont give is also correct...if they give and I take then people will say i no backbone...there is actually no 100% right or wrong...it is just the concept of people's mind...

hmm...I say nothing is 100%...doesnt meant that i am 100% right or wrong...or say that you 100% right or wrong...

some country's people sure have their own characterisitics...but you cant say that all the people in the country have the same character..Singaporean is know for Kaisu...but doesnt mean that all the singaporean is kaisu...

As for the 过河拆桥...no comments on this as I heard both side story before and there is no ways to find out who is right who is wrong..when u interact with vietnamese, you think you are right...the vietnamese think they are right...so who is really right and who is really wrong? No one know unless all sit down and trash out with someone neutral to oversee it...

I know you see me as good friend and try to advise me thru your best experience and knowledge..so hehe so case closed before we really get into big arguement and noi tam biet mai mai
