Was coming back to SG yesterday on Tigerairways with my wife, saw a Viet spouse carrying an infant, followed by her young daughter and carrying some bags. Pathetic sight. I always wonder why these viet spouse must go back Vn for so long until they must come back alone. Can't they just follow the hubby, go back for a week or so and come back? To cut the story short, 2 WL were looking around for easy targets to bring them into Singapore. These 2 WL was damm `helpful', offered to help the Viet spouse to carry bags when my wife was already helping the viet spouse to take care of her elder daughter and the other guy helping her to carry bags. Then the request came from the 2 Viet WL to ask the viet spouse to bring them into Singapore. My wife warned the Viet spouse about doing that and the viet spouse told my wife her husband never teach her anything. So fellow bros with Viet spouse, do communicate with your viet wife more and tell them what things cannot do and what things can be done.

sometime might be they dont want to see their husband.so drag the days to stay there longer.I also saw before 1 viet girl,very small size,in sg airport,carry the baby with 1 hand and the other hand push the trolley with 4 big bags.I wonder where is the husband?

When my wife first came to sg,i told her what is the do and don't.I always tell her,if unsure dont do,check with me first when in sg but 1 thing is she like to ask a lot

Viet spouse are Vietnamese. All those big bags sure to contain their favourite foods. I've seen my friend's wife bringing 4 Ga Ta wrapped in newspaper. Damn thing taste like rubber chicken to me. Of course u still have all sorts of mi goi and banhs...
Can't blame them as I also bring luncheon meat, ba ting, curry powder,... to HCM.

Yes agreed. They too miss their food when they stay here for lobg time, moreover vietnamese food here is expensive. Just like when u stay vn long, u too will miss singapore local food.

yes, you are right to certain extend. When these Viet Spouse (VS) goes back, they will have a long list of REQUESTS from their family members in VN. Shampoo, electrical stuffs etc, when they come back, they bring their favourite food. But no matter how they miss viet food, they got to consider how much they can bring when they are also carrying baby.

No matter how heavy or many things,they always think they can handle.At first i also wonder why my wife have to buy so many things when go back.Is a hassle to me cos i like to travel light.

But later,i know is she have to buy so call 'souvenir" for those ppl.From neighbour to relative,all see her like santa claus when she go back.Always say-Ai ya,u come back,no buy me anything as a souvenir huh.

KNN all know how to open mouth only.So nowaydays when she buy those cheapo stuff to bring back.I always close one eye.Is their culture thing and bro who just marry them should be understanding to this.But one thing is they are tougher and dont mind carry heavy stuff back.
