If you want good view and good choice, should try Gossip, old disco club but never short of girls, however, be there around 9.30 to 10pm to have a good pick. Take your time and slowly choose...
Alternatively can try another club called Liquid at 104 Ha Ba Trung. Pretty decent R & B music and got couple of SYT there.
If you fancy KTV and can blow good money away, Catwalk is always there with their cast of Viet gals that are specially trained in the language that you can speak comfortably!
Dont be surprised if most of the places no longer exist. The turn over rate of these places are very fast with an equally fast rate of new places opening up.
If you happen to be arond the area, it would be ok to check it out. However if you make a trip out just to find the places, it might be a waste of time.
Well, if I look at the ones I know are gone now, and the ones I know are still there, the still there list is longer -- so it means chances are most of the unknown spots are still going. Some good clues for dating this list are that it lists Crystal as NEW. Also it lists Bumbi and Paradise I, which are across the street from each other, but not Night Star, which was next to Bumbi until not too long ago. I'm guessing this list is between a year and 2 yrs old.
Some I'm curious about, and if anyone knows of their current status, please do let me know:

I can say that based upon what I've seen of some of the lesser known places appearing on this list, I think there's a fair chance some of these are very worth locating.
I'd probly head out to find them expecting nothing (or even another pile of rubble) and being pleasantly surprised at anything that did turn out to be ok.
Korean are the biggest expat group in Vietnam and there is a whole lot of them in the clubs almost everyday. Jap singles work in hotels on their japan desk and likewise, are a party bunch.
Just wanna share the concept of "kuta cowboys" , a well known social behaviour in Bali. All the jap, korean, aussies and now russian chicks 1st priority are the kuta beach boys when they are in bali. The ang mohs and other south east asian boys are 2nd rated. 2 times, me and my pal bought drinks for the jap girls only to find that the jap girls will move to the local bali boys and then buy them drinks instead! Haha...if you look it holistically, we were like buying the bali boys drinks. The last time i went back, we did a ta team and now, everytime we are at double 6 in bali, both locals and singaporeans end up happy! In Vietnam, it is the same except that they are more inclined towards more cosmo background rather than the local viet boys. Hence, this theory of Asian man for jap & korean girls is definetly possible. I was just in Muine this weekend and me and my hongkong buddy had us a korean fanfare at their own rooms. 2 korean girls from saigon taking a break there as well. Looks like with luck , timing and breaking the mindset , the impossible is really possible.
If you want to meet a korean chick, try out the hair saloons, they hang out there. There is 1 at pastuer beside lim's restuarant 54 pastuer road. The owner is Yuri , a korean and she is fun girl to be out with.
For music, Lush is your best bet for solid club music. Ask Thao, the door bitch which day is good for the genere you like. R&B is usually the best bet(sundays and thursdays) for some bump grinding. She also has the exclusive to all the big parties in town as well. For some nice dancing and soul bassa music , try Cage, 3A Ton Duc Thang. A small alley leads you to it. Try the other 2 places i shared in An Phu, nice joint to pick up people, housewifes especially..really a la desperate housewife espisode.Haha.
Seriously, in Vietnam, go international if you have the time. So many charities workers, school teachers(really hot) all looking for someone to show them a good time. The other untapped market i think is the chinese girls working in the embassy here. I bumped into them at the supermarket the other day, strike up a conversationa n they were lamenting about the lack of good food, eye candy and good conversation.
Oh well....i guess only time will tell.

if i not wrong the club below should be called "NHAC 2000"==Music 2000, Binh Phu, Dist 6. The club has many local crowds, i rate it as 6. If u stay dist 1 then it could be out of the way...

Sorry but i would like to be a pessimist here. Honestly if you have to come here for a holiday for, i would tell you to go to Thailand or Macau or China. Vietnam will disappoint in its sophistication of offerings. Plus, it is expensive and you probably be training the girl.

If you are here for work and short of time, then don't waste time with small talk and varying quality. My private banker friend went straight to Royale and Catwalk , paid a total of USD 300 together with the drinks, hostess fee at the KTV and the overnight for each time. . Ouch I say! $300USD is a lost opportunity cost in Thailand!Just be upfront to mummy and say i want a girl. She will shortlist for you. Alternatively, you can charm the mummy. Haha.
If have time and want to their local bia om, then 166 would be most appropriate given the wide range of Singaporean and the girls are used to our antics. Yawn! If you want street girls, stand along Nguyen Binh Khiem and Ngueyn DInh Chieu. The girls are on motobikes without helmets from 7pm everyday. 300 000(or about 27 Sing) for a bonk and it comes with free AIDS, ....even with the condom on. The hotel or (Ngha Nghi) will cost you $30Sing. The bikes will roam all the way till 12am unless it is raining on that day.
For local clubs, it's loud, pushy, uncouth and well.........good luck. I think there a few mention already so you can take it from there.

If you are here like me, then do the expats for non commercial. AirAsia flies to Thailand at $170 Sing net all inclusive. Go to Prop Bar or Curve or anyway along Thonglor/Ekamai and you find thai ladies( i mean hot), non commercial but always ready to have fun. If you want commercial, i guess bath houses along rachadapisek will rock your boat!

I know one of these on Hoang Van Thu, a little west of Hai Ba Trung (think street name changes to Nguyen Kiem up there) on south side of the street -- when I last went they had lots of girls who'd play with you... play pool I mean. Have seen some really quite cute ones too -- one who was a knockout actually, tho surely she's not there anymore. A very for-locals place this one, tho a good amount of foreigners do visit -- odd since it's so out of the way. If I pass there I'll get the address for you. It's more of a late night kind of place -- stays open til wee hours of the morning, maybe even 24-7.
I'm not a big pool player -- my friends used to go there, and I'd usually opt out just cuz I don't love playing pool.

Ah many thanks. I've also been told that Las Vegas probably is still open, but that it's not very good. The problem with places like these is that they fluctuate in quality over time -- one time you go and there's lots of cuties, another time it's all horses for the glue factory.
So just to update, I went on a drive this morning to see if I could spot the ones in Phu Nhuan (I was in the vicinity) and was 3 for 3. Versu, 141 and Beegees Trang all exist - in fact I was in the last one a couple times in the past but forgot about it. It's a fairly large Hat Voi Nhau (hidden down an alley, up a ways on Le Van Sy past the Amara Hotel -- which is not called that any more by the way)... BG's has a staff of PR's. Quality mixed of course with the occassional cutie. Vertu looked like the biggest, and the one far most likely to be the best of the 3. It looked like a nightclub, the other 2 much more lowkey.

There are mainly 2 type of pool parlours in HCM. One type is where your main purpose is to play pool. Tables are normally very good. There would have some pretty ladies that will help you setup the table on every round and they will also play with you if you wish. One of them that I know is called "The Cave" or "The Ky". It has been around for 10 years and it is near Ly Tu Trong street in District 1.
The other type are normally table in a pub with lot of girls. You can find them along Hai Ba trung st, no 91 and below. Hope it helps.
