Re: Juub Club...
It was a fine Saturday afternoon. Withdrawn some $$$ and straight away, we proceeded to Woodlands Checkpoint... There was some traffic jam along BKE (Mandai Road)
Ok, finally we reached Woodlands Checkpoint at around 1700HRS... We were expecting a bad traffic jam because earlier of the day, we monitored the livecam of the Woodlands Checkpoint and it was totally congested. But luckily, lady luck was at our side this time. It was smooth flowing traffic and we managed to clear the immigration in not more than 20mins. Now, it's the "infamous" JB Customs... Well, the queue wasn't really that long but their clearance speed was definitely very disappointing and frustrating. It took us almost an hour to get pass the JB customs. During the queuing process, I am not sure how many ciggies we had already puffed... Very pek chek. At around 1815HRS, we managed to pass through the JB customs. Straight away, we proceeded to New York Hotel. We were supposed to meet up with some Juup Club PRs for dinner. We reached there around 1830HRS. When we got there, the gals were already waiting at the hotel lobby. As there was a total of 7 pax (us & the gals), decided to park his ride at the open car park behind New York Hotel. Then, we splitted into 2 taxis for dinner. We proceeded to Taman Sentosa for some seafood. That area is very popular with the Singaporeans as you can see many SG-Registered rides parking along the main road. We settled for one of the seafood stall. We ordered 01 x Cereal Prawn, 01 x Sweet & Sour Fish, 01 x Stir Fried Chilli Frog Legs, 01 x Salad Fritters, 01 x Seaweed Seafood Soup, 01 x Hot Plate Beancurd, 01 x Deep Fried Baby Squid, 01 x Meat Dumpling... The food was not bad and the price was rather reasonable... The bill came up to RM150/-. At around 2000HRS after finishing our dinner, we proceeded back to New York Hotel as the gals need to put on their make-up. While they were upstairs, we were sitting at the hotel lobby, TCSSing... At around 2100HRS, the gals came down and we proceeded to Juup Club. There is a sidedoor by the side of the hotel entrance that leads to Juup Club. My 1st impression of Juup Club... Too BIG and too EMPTY (probably we were there early???). Overall, the decoration is good... But they should get some better looking tables. The tables looked kinda like our normal coffeeshop tables... The air-condition was good even when crowd started to come in around midnight. There are 3-4 sofa seats and the sofa seats are so big. Can easily fit around 15 pax. There's also a big dance floor just infront of the stage (but no one was actually dancing there, empty for the whole night). For a start, we ordered 3 buckets of Carlsberg. There's 4 bottles/bucket. The price was RM150++ (HH rate). Soon, the live band started their performances. The opening song for the night was "Dai Yin Mai" by Da Endorphine~~~ Hmm, this song made us feel so at home... Live Impact, Resort, Club Royal, etc was outta our minds already~~~ We settled down @ Juup Club real fast~~~ Less than an hour, we finished 3 buckets of beer. It was going very fast because we played 5-10 with the gals. Then, we ordered another 3 buckets. But this time, there's no more HH rate. The rate/bucket was RM68/bucket. We continued drinking and TCSSing with the gals. For the gals, we bought 16 LDs for them @ RM28/shot. The shots at Juup Club is 3 times more bigger than Singapore TDs. However, the shots are so diluted that we can only taste 7-Up. Anyway, doesn't really bother us that much. At around, 0000HRS, 2 other friends mine of came down and joined us. They ordered another 5 buckets and basically, we were already very full... LOL We bought a total of 11 buckets for the night. During midnight, crowds started to come in. But it wasn't squeezy since their tables arrangement was well planned. At around 0215HRS, were feeling very tired already. We decided to call it a day. We proceeded for supper at an Indian shop near the JB customs. We ordered some roti prata and ayam soup. At around 0245HRS, we proceeded to top up some petrol and after that, we headed to the JB customs--> Woodlands Checkpoint. At around 0330HRS, I reached home... At around 0400HRS, I K.O!!! - Ambience: 3.5/5 - Quality of PRs: 3.5/5 (There's some good looking ones but the quantity seemed abit too little for consumption) - Quality of Singers: 4/5 (The singers are quite jude (gals) and yandao (guys). And their performances are pretty solid too) - Overall damage: RM1,500/- (Inclusive of dinner, beers, LDs, flowers, supper). - RTC (Return To Chiong): Most probably but not so soon~~~ Been there, done that!
