Lying PAP say 2 retirees spend only $1K on Food, Meds, Utilities, Housing, & Drs
An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Every month!! Believe it or not? Where is this fantasy land? Can't be singapore A typical retired household here draws a monthly income of $1,735, half of which comes from investments and contributions from family members or friends. A retiree household living in a three-room flat spends an average of $1,000 every month, of which a third goes to food and another third to housing, utilities and health expenses. These snapshots of the average retiree's income and spending patterns have been captured for the first time in the latest Household Expenditure Survey, which polled more than 11,000 households. The number of retiree households, defined as those comprising solely non-working people aged 60 years and over, has more than doubled in the last 13 years to 77,481. About 40,000 of them live in three- or four-room flats. - See more at: http://www.straitstimes.com/news/sin....mJyOqAFe.dpuf Click here to view the whole thread at www.sammyboy.com. |
