Waiting time for DSC Appt

Hi all, just want to double check if dsc appointment now is roughly 3 weeks? I booked for screening as I recently had some irritations at my penis. No discharge but felt the penis head slightly itchy and the rim abit reddish. No sores, no discharge , no fever nothing

Just super sensitive. So thought maybe register for appointment and saw it’s a 3 weeks wait. Normal?

maybe u want consult gp first ? i do get itch before but mine dont last so long. probably a day maybe clothes not clean or sensitive to new material etc.

Chlamydia and gonorrhoea pcr, 1.5 weeks no calls from dsc mean neg? Usually 1 week they will call right

Expected turnaround time is 1 week.
U may wanna call the clinic to check. It could b some administrative delay, there are rare cases that samples got lost or test schedule delay due to technical issue/public holiday.

Clinic say 2 weeks results. But i think it shd be 1 week. They just want to tell u longer just in case. They say no more sms

They charge GP 78?? GPs charge 160 at least excl consultation!

There are many different PCR test/method for a single pathogen in the market.
Batch PCR testing (testing of samples collected over a period of time) or single test kit (1 sample/run) all have different pricing and turnaround time. Some clinics offer same day result testing but charge u a few hundred of dollars because such single and fast kit is rather expensive.

Government subsidized STI clinic at Kelantan Lane, mcm like polyclinic like that but specialise only for STI
