Noob Question on Power Points

Apologies if this is the wrong thread or category to enquire (pls don't zap me further) but I need some clarification from kind fellow forum users.

Just realised I lost my power points (3) recently. Usually if someone were to up or zap me, I would know how much rep points I've gained or lost but my User CP didn't indicate how I may have lost my power points other than being zapped.

As a result I am unable to up fellow forum users here for their good FRs / stories / comments / opinions. Anyone can help to answer why?

I understand 1 power point is awarded for each year you have been in the forum. I've been using this handle for the past 2 years or so and some kind soul awarded me and extra power point previously hence why it was 3.

Why do u care so much about points? Do u get money from it? Free fucks? what? Big fat nothing. Points are just for morons to accumulate for whatever reason, they don't even know.

I never understood the point system, and I don't care about it.

I care because it helps me to reciprocate and say thank you to fellow forummers here who have painstakingly shared their experiences, what to avoid, replied in kind or just help in pointing us to the right directions. Without the power points, I cannot up them or in your case, zap you! Cos unlike you, I am not ungrateful!
