I agree such kind of threats are part and parcel of the job. However, are we discriminating against ML simply cos of their job choice if we were to just turn the page and say it’s all part of the job and hope the maniac give up eventually, else she should consider quitting?

Just as any girl who dresses very sexy in public or going to bars or clubs late at night run the increased risks of being molested or even raped, are we going to say it’s the girl’s fault she dresses so sexy and still go to a club, and hope the molester will give up won’t molest any other girls in future or say that the girl should consider not dressing so sexy next time? My personal subjective humble opinion is that in today’s age so long as the girl’s dressing does not amount to indecent exposure, then she should have the freedom and right to dress sexily without being subjected to increased risk of molest or rape because of that. And if she is molested, then the pressure should be on the molester to stop him instead of being on her asking her to consider quit dressing sexy in future.

Likewise, while cognizant that such happenings may be part and parcel of this trade, the offender should not be simply dismissed and such behaviour indirectly encouraged in any way on the premise that it’s the girl’s fault for choosing this job.

All the rage and injustice we feel towards LL but fact remains there's nothing anyone can really do other than herself report him to the authorities herself that she was threatened. But why will she do that and risk her purpose here. Shit happens to anyone, that's life man. That's why the golden rule we should always bear in mind is don't get too emotionally invested into any working ladies. The practical way to show support is to patronise her within your means. Unless that guy has some crucial evidence or what not, the more feasible solution would be to report to authorities.

We can only wait our time out and hope everything cease and go back to the norm. Pray for the best and hope for the worst

I'm with you on this. There's danger in most jobs, especially in this one. But when it comes to a crime being committed, which in case it has, then one cannot just sweep it under the carpet, say its part and parcel of the job, and hope it goes away.

However, solutions are not so easily found I fear.
