An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
Today I pass by a few Chinese temples and saw many cars lining up both sides of the roads - no problem, no LTA or cisco or aetos around to summon them. two eyes closed.
I also see at the ground floor of some blocks in the my area, Chinese burning paper for prayers. Smoke goes up to the blocks and the burned papers flying all over. Environment pollution forgiven. Thanks the govt for these priviliges.
Today the noise of the lion dance started and will be going on for many days. No problem with this noise pollution. No action will be taken for disturbing the peace. Thank you for this waiver.
Also I see over the weekend at the churches, cars parked at double yellow line along the streets - no problem, no danger to traffic during this period. No action taken.
I also find that other races are accommodating to these privileges accorded. No red eyes or complaints.
Unlike some people I know, like to complain or make noise for every little bit that the minority seemed to enjoy from the govt waiver or kindness.
we live in a multi racial society. sometimes you give sometimes you take.
so let us live and let live.
