SINGAPORE: Two women and a man have been arrested for their suspected involvement in a series of shop theft cases along Orchard Road, Harbourfront Walk and Raffles Boulevard.

The Singapore Police Force said in a news release on Tuesday (Aug 11), that it had received several reports on stolen apparel such as branded jackets, cardigans, dresses and pants, since June. The clothing had been stolen from various fashion retail stores.

Officers from the Tanglin Division arrested the suspects on Monday. They also seized more than 400 items they believe to be stolen, valued at about S$20,000.

Police said the three suspects, aged between 30 and 31, will be charged for theft on Wednesday. If convicted, they can be jailed up to seven years and fined.
