Hi sorry for taking your time would like to ask for some advice. Contacted a girl via locanto and she requested half the sum to be transfered via online banking before and the rest after. Like an idiot i did so and she ran with my money. Bank said go get a police report then come back to them to get money back. Was what i attempted to do legal in the first place since she wasnt from geylang? Asking for a friend over 18 cough

Prostitution is legal. Advertising on Locanto is illegal.
What a convoluted web we weave.
My advice is just write off the loss. Treat it as fees for a good lesson learned.

Sigh fuck it then thanks anyway. Sad as that was about half of my bank account (poor jc student here). Thanks for the reply
If you're a JC student surely you can get free pussy there. It'll cost you in other ways (dinner, flowers etc) but at least you don't have to present cold, hard cash up front.

Oh hohohohoho. Heard jc arts was a girl wonderland with like 20 girls and 5 boys (was the case) so chose jc envisioning myself walking down the streets every week with a new girl and shit. Then they all turn out to have boyfriends or be twice my weight or hardcore feminazis so there goes that fantasy haha

That's a terrible reason to be going to JC.
Here's the bottomline dude - the only good reason to enter JC would be to qualify for a good course in a local uni. And not end up with one of those dubious degrees from MDIS or Kaplan. REALITY CHECK - HR folks from good companies would automatically delete your CV once they see anything that's not NUS/NTU/SMU (or any foreign unis that's not placed highly in the QS rankings).
Your time in JC is really short. Around 1.5 years after you take away the "1st 3 months" and A level exams periods. You should be dedicating any time you have to studying. Not combing through Locanto looking for freelancing prostitutes. Or lounging around SBF. If you don't already have a girlfriend because you're a nondescript wallflower, do not fret. There is always time to chase skirts later. And if you are really successful in life, skirts will chase you instead.
For now, you should focus on doing the best you can in your A Levels. Don't end up with regrets in life. Some of my ex-schoolmates? Their lives pretty much peaked at 18. And its all downhill for them from there on. There's this dude who was crazy about sports. Spent all his time training. He's super fit and lots of girls had crushes on him at that time. But guess what? He fucked up his As, didn't have a rich dad to ship him off to UK/US/Australian unis, and ended up with no proper tertiary certification. He's in his 30s now and last I heard? Still doing shitty temp jobs. Suffice to say, all his past gfs have left him.
Don't be that guy. Seriously dude. Study. Fucking. Hard.
Good luck with your As!
PS. There's an oasis on the horizon. Its called NUS hall. Study hard so that you can get in.
PPS. Oh its NS before that. If you wanna cheong, go be bros with the Hokkien peng. They will guide you. So you don't need to go trawling Locanto and get ripped off.

Word of wisdom from kor kor.
Study hard and use the right brain while u are still eligible.
Don’t screw up then regret later. :/
Money that is scammed is lost and represent a good lesson. The A levels are tough. Concentrate on studies and secure a place in uni b4 thinking any chicks.
Seen too many side-tracked by women n lose focus.
Cash up front or flowers plus dinner first still requires money.
Think of your long-term earning capacity is better.

This is the best advice I have seen in a while. Regret is the worst feeling. I would up your points if I could.
