SINGAPORE - The mastermind of an online vice syndicate was jailed for two years and fined $83,000 on Friday (May 26) for running a stable of 12 sex workers - all Singaporean women. The women were between 21 and 39 years old.

Shop assistant Roderic Chen Hao Ran, now 32, pleaded guilty to five counts of living in part on the earnings of prostitution, three counts of procuring women for vice activities and one count of operating a remote communication device - a mobile phone - to carry out his prostitution business.

Eighteen other charges - most of them vice-related - were taken into consideration during sentencing.

From ST and Yahoo journalists who sat in the Court for this case - this Roderic guy employed 12 Singaporeans females aged 21-39, charged an hourly rate ranging between SGD 450 and 650 until police raided his flat in Compassvale Walk in late July 2016. He had at least 1 other partner Lee Soon Ann who was arrested later.

Certainly not Pandora or Platinum cos they were busted way before July 2016. Unlikely to be Johnny too cos the price range doesn't match - unless it was one of their cheapo subsidiaries.

If you look at the cached pages of this forum on archive.org , there is no stable that abruptly disappeared in late July 2016.

The closest is Titanium, even though it continued to post till August 2016, until they were raided at ?? Furama Hotel ( if I din remember wrongly, acc to one of their ex-gals ).

The price range matched Titanium as well. My guess is that after Roderic was caught in late July 2016, his partner(s) continued to run the business until they were caught in the following month.

Most likely they get betrayed by their customers. Such business is always risky because they expose themselves to so many customers who may not be trustworthy and it is hard to know who is trustworthy.
