"Singapore has confirmed its first case of Influenza A (H1N1). The patient, a 22-year-old SMU student, was in New York from May 14-24. She arrived back in Singapore from New York on SQ25 on 26 May at 6.30am."

Only a she student, return from New York. Must be one of those die die must go student previously interviewed in the TV. Bet the GOV ordy quarantine everyone on the same flight.

i dun thk so lah.
s'pore is now more prepared since sars to tackle new flu outbreaks.
h1n1 is not as deadly n harmful as sars.
n somemore bulk of d h1n1 cases r fr d americas region ... unlike sars which Asia got hit badly.
i believe life is fated lah. if u r suay, eat fishball oso can choke n die. or u can get killed by a falling tree trunk.

nope as i post now they din quarantine all passenger n staff of tis b744 flight wor. they oni advice those tat in same flight or duty in the same flight to be cautious if they hav any symptoms,if do,go see doctor n then oni get your ownself quarantined

oh really? so loose control on H1N1 in Singapore? in China, similar case happen all passager n staff at the same flight compulsory quarantine in define hotel.

=> To some extent i do think of H1N1 & what Controls are H 81 & other Transit Hotels are taking to prevent any H1N1 cases happening in their HOTEL ???....Probably best to avoid those "super high usage hotels".....

True, when I was in China last mth, whenever there a case of H1N1, they will quarantine all person who are stand near/got contact with them.

Sometime it better to play safe then sorry in the end. What happen if those got systom but refuse to visit doc to check ?

=> With the latest nos of H1N1 cases - 168 - with new cases reported from Church & Butter Factory....damn it's spreading fast !!!...

Yesterday when i saw this "masked" guy at the office building,there were those that avoided taking the lifts with him !....And then when there was anyone in the queue at the immigration @ T3...that try clearing their "dry throat" or cough or sneeze...U can see people staring or quickly covering the mouth & nose !!!.....

So how concerned are U with the latest news ?

And what precaution measures are U taking ?

Our govt is not doing enough to contain the spread of the virus. 1st and foremost. The in and outflux of people are not properly controlled.

We are one of the last Asian country to be infected. But now, we are the one of the highest growing rate of infected Asian country. We win Malaysia again.... Hands down... Y???

I already had my tamiflu jab couple of months ago. My doc says I should be OK? Have you taken your flu jab?
Also, maybe you should take 1000mg Vitamin C to boost up your immune system.

bro, i thought tamiflu is for cure of SARS and Swine Flu AFTER contact?
cos many docs say there's no prevention against H1N1...
