Mid tier hotel recommendations

Any bros have any recommendatiosn for mid tier hotel (overnight stay) near around central region. In fact, almost anywhere is fine as long as not too far end like Jurong or Woodlands etc.

Wanna try something than the usual budget hotel like 81, fragrance or four chain.

Then is it possible to just walk in at 3am and ask for an overnight room for those supposed to be not budget/transit hotel? If got recommendation, will appreciate if the cost is advised too.
