An honorable member of the Coffee Shop Has Just Posted the Following:
The application form issued by LTA/Transit Link is clearly headed "APPLICATION FOR SENIOR CITIZEN CONCESSION CARD" but under ELIGIBILITY, it is written: "Singapore Citizens and
Permanent Residents aged 60 years and above ..."
If elderly PR are also given concession cards for travelling in public transport, it would explain why many PR FTsh chose not to become citizens. They could remain for years in SG and still enjoy benefits as given to locals. Is our Govt stupid or what?
PR are not citizens but in this Application Form, they are treated like citizens. Please subsidize locals, not foreigners.
