We should be able to use cpf to pay for tuition fees at private universities too

WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO USE CPF TO PAY FOR TUITION FEES AT PRIVATE UNIVERSITIES TOO Post date: 25 May 2014 - 6:25pm I am a part time student in SIM-UOL. I am wondering why is it that we are not able to use our CPF as education loan for our further studies in private institutions in Singapore. This is especially unfair and the reason why I am highlighting this issue is: Our results are not good enough to be admitted to our local universities, hence the private education institutions would be the next alternative. In addition, noting the point that as we can only study part time probably due to financial abilities (at least for me that I do not have the luxury of just being a full time student, stay at home and wait for money to come to me), shouldn't we be allowed to use our CPF to pay off our school fees rather than loaning from banks just like an NUS/NTU student?! Besides, the money loaned out from the CPF is still repaid back to the account after completion of studies. Shouldn't we be allowed to use it (it is just temporary) since it is all our hard-earned money?! It is not as if we are wasting it. It is still being used to further our education, same as at NUS/NTU. Why are we treated so differently from students in locally subsidized universities?
