Toshiba prepares to slash 7,000 jobs

Japanese electronics giant Toshiba is about to lay off as many as 7,000 workers, mostly in consumer products. The company is moving away from manufacturing toward brand licensing in its foreign TV business and is seeking a buyer for manufacturing facilities in Indonesia.
