【星島日報報道】越南永福省永祥縣一名5歲女童，因為偷喝了「一瓶牛奶」而被養母懲罰，手腕被 粗繩綁住，並 吊在天花板梁柱上，距離地板幾十公分。她不斷掙扎與尖叫，過程長達數十秒，幸好送醫後沒有大礙 。

被警方以「虐待兒童」罪名拘捕的養母Nguyen Thi Phuong表示，「這個壞孩子常常偷我的錢當作自己的零用錢！」

綜合外媒報導，永祥縣的副主席Le Chi Thai表示，女童沒有大礙，現已交由親戚接手照顧。又指其「狠心的養母」的教養方式令人「無法接受」 。

報導指，Nguyen Thi Phuong是雜貨店的老闆娘，在幾年前領養了女童。她被捕時宣稱女童長期偷錢，忍無可忍才會用如此激烈的 手段作「懲罰」，但最後還是被警方以「虐待兒童」罪名起訴。
