No doubt free trade brings benefits and job protectionism should be avoided, however, the practice of bringing in a FW talent in a managerial position often results in kicking away the locals n more FW (esp relatives) are brought in to replace. Remaining locals in firm get angry as new FTs are not up to par and often end up doing the job for them. Many of them come with fake certs which HR happily file up as evidence and give them their allotted pay without even counter checking. That's why only 2 medical colleges in this country is recognised. Our local govt owned bank is riffled with such FWs which is ok if they know their job better than locals but my friend working in Indian Biz Park in Changi say some cant even type an email... must help them.. come on lah.. FW should be talented not we help them come in, kick locals out and then must somemore help them to be talented in their job. HR gotta open eyes big big
